Health Tips for Covid Prevention

When we first heard of COVID-19 we didn’t take it seriously. A lot of people thought it was either a hoax or that they are young and strong and it won’t affect them. The issue with this virus is that you can be a carrier and not even know it. You can have little to no symptoms and pass on the virus to someone else, resulting in them getting sick or worse. With such a scary outcome, it makes it difficult for us to live our lives the way we used to. As the months progress, we know more about the virus and Covid prevention. Below you will find health tips that will help you stay safe and Covid-free.

Creating a Covid-Free Environment

Is it possible to live in a Covid-free environment? I believe it is, if you take the right precautionary steps. In order to stay safe, the first thing we heard was that we should wear masks and wash our hands. Wearing your mask will protect others from your germs and can decrease your chances of spreading the virus. Cloth masks are great because they can be washed and reused. If you are skeptical of reusing your mask, opt for disposable masks instead.

Washing your hands is extremely important if you want to prevent the spread of the virus. Make sure to wash your hands often and avoid touching your face. You can also opt to wear gloves when you are food shopping and will be touching a lot of products that other people have touched.

One thing I make sure to do is disinfect everything I buy with rubbing alcohol. You can soak a microfiber cloth with 70% rubbing alcohol and clean the grocery items, you phone, keys, wallet and credit cards.

Covid prevention is possible, if you take the right measures. I go a little overboard and take my clothes off in the garage and take a shower right away. I disinfect everything from outside and then make sure to bleach door handles and any other surface I might have touched. While this all seems excessive, it will help you feel and stay safer. We can’t prevent the virus 100% but we can do our part in not catching it and spreading it to our loved ones.
